A couple shots from yesterday and this morning. Gears used ( in order of the pictures): A7RIV+Loxia 21, A7RIV+Voigtlander 40 f1.2, A7RIII+24-105, A9+200-600.

Chris, thank you very much! Better be lucky than good, I would say . That lens though is truly superb and offers the best bang for the buck, at least on the A9/A9 II, without any issues.

Not to the level of the preening falcon image but this one has some comical elements in it. There are plenty of squirrels in the area when the falcon family hangs out. Unlike larger hawks or eagles, falcons do not prey on squirrels. I am sure it has to do with their size. Here, a mature and daring squirrel, for whatever reasons, approached the smallest of the falcon chicks and they looked at each other, kind of sizing each other up briefly until the squirrel turned around and took off. The falcon chick really didn’t know what to do...
Another cinema bites the dust - in this case not pandemic related. The last of the 'old' (pre-multiplex) cinemas operating in Plymouth closed last year. Previously known as the ABC its main claim to fame was as being the venue for a Beatles gig in 1963.
Birdie, you and Ronny must be for sure some kind of bug whisperers. It is simply amazing that those critters you both photograph simply do not crawl away. Amazing macro images, Birdie!
