We have been asked to stay home so I take pictures from our balcony.
Exactly the same shot as the one taken this morning. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn off
the SR app. so it took almost an hour to get it done.
A7R + Zeiss Contax C/Y 35-70mm F3.4 + the SR application (128 shots!) + Luminar 4
From the last Mask Carnival in Venice, well before the Covid-19 outbreak... Remotely triggered flash behind the model was used here, early in the morning before/at sunrise.
Part of the rood screen of Manaton Church built around 1500. When the Reformation came to England towards the middle of the sixteenth century, a decree from the Privy Council in 1548 ordered all superstitious images to be taken down or defaced. If you look carefully you can see that the characters in the painted panels have literally been defaced.
I've been wanting to use the 15 Stops ND filter that my wife got me for my birthday. I know we're all supposed to reframe from going out, but I had to run an important errand today, so I took my mask, walked (didn't transit), didn't touch anyone or open any doors with my hand... and did this shot of Gastown/Vancouver. It was NOT "THIS" dead, but with the 15 stops of ND, I was able to do a 5.5 minutes exposure and made it look like a "ghost town". I know it's a bit eerie, but I've been wanting to mess around with daylight long exposure for the longest time
