Sony really has gotten their ISO color contribution index sorted in the past few years. Wonderful tonality and spectrum on the 100-400 and the 200-600.

Thanks Joshua, it was definitely chilly. Much colder and I think it would take some of the fun out of it.
It's funny, I see Bob's shots like the Iced Trees shot above....and I think....man that looks cold! I don't think I could handle Minnesota.
The cold here is definitely something to get use to. Temps during that tree shot was down around zero with a stiff wind. Wind chills were -25 to -35F. I didn't stay out long! But people here embrace the outdoors no matter the weather. It's one of the things I like about Minnesota. However, sometimes even Nora get a bit cold . . .
Ouch, that's cold Bob. I think the hardest thing for me would be dealing with the cold with my fingers, as I like to be able to feel the camera and controls while I'm shooting.

I've tried a variety of windproof/waterproof thin gloves with varying success. Sometimes a combination of a gloved hand in my jacket pocket keeps them warm enough. Other times, a hand warmer inside even a thin glove works wonders if I'm out for a long time.
I just picked up these cheap loves for $20. So far, they seem to work as well as any I've tried at more than twice the price. Thin enough to operate the camera and seem to block the wind very well. These also have touchscreen capability that works as well as I've experienced.
Looking at the sun as it is about to drop below the trees on the far hill; actual sunset was at 6:38.
Lower portion cropped off, tripod mounted FE 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 G set to 600mm and A7rIII, silent shutter.
ISO 100, f13, 1/500 second.
