Oh, and Jack, I do have to thank you(and Michael, too)for making me get a R80!! What a piece of Glass! WOW! Actually took it off the A7 tonight, and put the R50 Lux on. And let me tell you...what a weight difference between the two!!

Thank you Charles. The 24 Lux works better on the A7r as a WA <-- I am trying to reduce number of lenses for the sake of simplicity, but you not make it any simpler for me, you know
As for Summicron-M 75 AA; wasn't it the lens that the Swedish poster Luke(?) ended up dumping for its lack of personality? Regardless, it's one of Karbe's first lenses designed for Leica so it's a 'no' for me (don't ask - a personal(ity) thing)
BTW, I noticed that there are many new, improved options for lens adapters to E format. In December 2013 most of the E-mount adapters to were designed for NEX crop cameras, but recently more specific Sony A7/R designs are coming up.
The 75 Cron AA, on the M9 lacked personality, and this is what Luka was suggesting. For portraits it was excellent! On the MM and M240, it behaves differently, and is another excellent option, as it is on the A7r too The new adapters will make a huge different!

Gregg, just look at Charles' posts with Summilux-M 75 plus zhangyue, xenon99 and others great portraiture shots (and models!) than few bouquets of roses accompany by carte blanche shopping spree for spouses will make it worthwhile
Great lenses are forever! [said the ex-wife]
Here's one of my first testing shoot with a new BMW m235i press car 2 months ago when I first picked up the Sony cameras. Both shot with Sony A7 + 55mm FE.

Its a bit difficult to nail focus with this lens at 2.8, since the DOF is so shallow....in this image, the eyes are in focus, the nose is slightly out. Still, I'm pleased with an inexpensive fast telephoto with "L" glass...I'll just practice! :-)
Three more from my short hike yesterday. I love the colors that I get from Lightroom and the A7 profiles, but I gotta admit my Colorchecker profile is a life-saver - very nice / accurate colors once calibrated.
