Hi Jim,
Very nice images of the Hoh Rain Forest. When I visited in October of 2012 of all things it was raining most of the time for days so I took limited images under cover of my Lens Coat RainCoat over my at the time Lumix G1.

Sorry for your poor photo visit, Rich!
Obviously, the "rain forest" is truly about rain.
I believe this is the wettest area in the continental USA. I prefer the photos I get from overcast conditions for best details and color, but that is the danger zone of getting poured on at any time. Sunny summer weather is great for taking visitors to the Olympic National Park, but not so great for photos.
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Little Flower was completed in San Antonio in 1931. I had some nice directional light and clouds the morning I shot this.

Now that I tried a (not decentered) Sony FE 35mm 1.4 ZA - and still wasn't happy with it -
I am trying my luck with a Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art (e-mount version)
Bastian - this is a very beautiful portrait, showing a special light and mood.
How satisfied are you with the Sigma?
Unfortunately the new Tamron 35mm 1.4 is not coming in e mount yet, so I guess you are not trying that out on an adapter ( though it would be possible). This new lens could be a real gem, when the description by Tamron about it’s qualities prove to be correct.
Well - it is like it is - all those new very good 35mm 1.4 are really big and rather heavy ( or even gigantic like the 40mm Sigma)

What I can say so far is that I like it more than the Sony FE 35mm 1.4 ZA.
What I can also say is that, if you don't need AF, better get the Voigtlander VM 35mm 1.7 + 5m PCX filter.
If anyone ever measured the mtf of that lens at portrait distance they would be insanely good compared to
the Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art, Sony FE 35mm 1.4 ZA, Zeiss ZM 35mm 1.4, Leica 35mm 1.4 FLE and probably a host of 35s more that I didn't test yet.
That Tamron 35 1.4 leaves me wondering a bit. They make claims how it is the greatest lens they ever designed,
yet I did not manage to find a single picture taken with that lens.

The Tamron 35/1.4 is a DSLR lens and has been just released, and that when sales of DSLRs are plummeting. The Sigma 35/1.4 Art has probably made sure that there is no pent up demand for a 35/1.4 anymore. So Tamron may be too late to the ball, leaving little interest in yet another 35/1.4 lens, however good it may be.
