Shuko, that's some interesting bokeh.
Usually I don't go for bokeh with that much character.
I typically prefer boring, buttery smooth bokeh, but this time the extra bokeh character just works for me.
Nice work.
Samuli, might be a silly question, but I notice you use a CPL on a lot of your shots. Is it out of habit? Or do you find it that beneficial for your shooting? Just based on your images I splurged on the Zeiss 49 CPL for use on the 35 and 55 (very happy they're the same filter size).
Another shot taken last night at 6400 ISO and f/1.8 FE 55 and A7r. The FE 55 is an excellent portrait lens IMO. Close to mid distances it maintains the Sonnar look, which is great for this FL, and the AF seems to nail the close eye, even in low light

Spotting a 1.5" cricket I wanted to see how the FE55/1.8 can cope as a pseudo macro lens. Heavy heavy crop. It appears even sharper in LR5 so there must be something about my export / linking process that is taking the edge off.
Today I was in the neighborhood of Stanford University, my old stomping grounds, picking up a mint OM 24mm f2, so decided to stop by there and enjoy the golden hour.
