Two images of San Francisco from a recent visit to the City; both taken at the famous tourist spot there, the Fishermans Wharf. The first one is more hidden and practically no one was there and the second one is from the crowded area. It is easy to figure out which one is my preferred one out of the two.

Leitz Apo Macro Elmarit R 100/2.8 - the lens worth a tail.....
This lens is still new to me and I try to get to know it in deep. I would like to squeeze the best out of it. And I can easily see that the lens has lots of the very best qualities inside.
Let's make one remark - from several thousands of very different lenses I took photos over the last 30 years with, this one has the most beautiful colour and tonal rendition. At least to my eyes, despite lighting conditions. :-)
Yet I still can not show this in my pictures in a satisfactory way ...arrrgh...!It seemd so simple at the first glance :-(
But I do not lose hope that it will happen soon. This great, unique and magical optical tool deserves it. :-)
Picked up a Mamiya Sekor C 80mm f/1.9 N from an estate sale this past weekend. Then able to pick up a used copy of the Fotodiox M645 to Sony E adaptor on Amazon. This lens is absolutely incredible! Sharp wide open, very unique bokeh, and contrasty.

Almost finished editing images from my Santa Fe trip. You can see the main plaza in this shot. It has the holiday lights on the trees. The light and color was fantastic near the mountains the evening I shot this.
