I just picked up the 24/1.4 GM. I think I'm going to like this lens. Love the close focusing. Love the rendering. Love the sharpness. Can't wait to try some astrophotography.
First decent day of spring like weather and a nice day for a walk in the woods. Everything is so monochromatic now but in 3-4 weeks everything will be turning green. Just keeping it simple, grabbed the camera with the 24-105 G.
Tuweap last week @ sunrise. If you haven't been here yet, DO IT! You can get permits to camp there at the Pipe Organ National Monument, right near where one of the roads to get here is. Just make sure you have high clearance and great tires to do this.

The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe during a snowfall on a cold morning. I wish the cars weren't parked in front but not much I could do.
I went with a bit of a faded look to this one with some split toning and additional color grading.
Some shots of the famed cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in Washington DC yesterday. According the National Park Service, April 1st was the peak day for the cherry blossoms this year. The flowers in golden hours just glow, quite different from how they look in broad day light. I know sunstar is not everyone's "thing" but I love the sunstars from the Loxia and CV lenses.
I tried a twice uploading directly from my PC but it kept saying the file(s) exceeded the 1.4 MP limit even though I set the resize max at 1200X1200 in Lightroom, I gave up so I just link the pictures from my Flickr.
