A few shots from my Hotel in New Orleans. The left side is the French Quarter. You can see Jackson Square and Cafe Dumond. The Mississippi River bending right as it flows towards the Gulf of Mexico.
Amazing images in the last couple pages, as usual.
When I saw the moon behind the bonsai like branch two days ago, I took two shots, one with the tree in focus and the moon out of focus, the other one with the moon in focus and the tree out of focus, both at f10already. I replaced the out of focus moon with the in focus moon in Photoshop, so I cheated a little here. But this is how my eyes saw it. I am very very new to Photoshop so please be kind.
Lost Maples State Park in Texas is known for beautiful fall foliage when the native maple trees change their leaves in November. I plan to return then. I used this recent trip as sort of a scouting trip. I got up early to catch sunrise at this location which was a few miles from our campsite. I was the only one on the trail. Definitely enjoyed the hike, the scene here, and the sounds of water mixed with the various birds around the area.
