Meissen nowadays - thousand years earlier Misno,Misena,Miśnia - the city with a great history, founded at around 929.
A beautiful, old medieval city.At the beginning germanic forrest in the Slavic world between the Elbe/Łaba and the Oder/Odra rivers. The center of the early Christian culture in that part of Europe.I'ts long history is closely associated with the Kingdom of Poland /Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.Especially at the beginning in the Xth century and around the end in the XVIII century. They were many royal political marrriages, military games, wars and kings on the Polish throne.
For most of it's history, the city was culturally an important and influential part of The Kingdom of Saxonia and the German Reich,(I'm not talking about porcelain only :-))), until it was supressed by the sheer brutality militarized Prussia.
Now quiet, calm and welcoming.Worth visiting by all means. It has changed nicely into much better during the last 40 years.I encourage all to read more about it. :-)

Great street shot. I can also see why the Planer 1.4 is such a fine lens.
Thank you, Michael. It suits my needs perfectly, other than being somewhat big and heavy. Even so, if I could have only a single lens, this would be the one.
