I posted a similar image here previously. The wing position and 99% of everything else of that image was great but the visible eye of the hummer was not critically in focus. Of course, it wasn't noticeable unless enlarge 200% or so. I went through the images more rarely and discovered a few out about 100 images or so that show the eye was really in focus but the wing position wasn't quite that good. Here is one of them. The hummer, while hovering at the flower, moved slightly laterally and my adapted lens couldn't quite follow that closely. This is the situation where a native lens would come in handily and of course, the Eye-AF for animals would be a welcome addition, if it works for hummers, too . Time will tell how well that feature works but I am really looking forward to trying that out.
Images I took of a make up artist I worked with on a previous shoot. The model I was shooting at the time and I told her she would photograph well. She was apprehensive but is now very happy she did the shoot. Very rewarding.
