Ronny, you are like the Mr. Miyagi of photography. He could catch flies in mid-air with chop sticks. You catch them with a manual focus tele!! Wax on. Wax off.

haha .. not as hard as it may seem .. is a species of hoover fly standing still in the air for a few seconds sometimes
Thanks guys
Reminds me of hummingbirds how they hover at a flower for seconds. Great job of capturing that fly or flies, Ronny!

Welcome back, Manuel. This thread knows no mercy .
Thank you Chris! I'm sorry but I forgot to quote you due to the hard "Like" activity

Nice to see you post Manuel , Great shots !
Thanks Ronny and likewise... you never stop to amaze me!
This is Lilly... undecided which version is better so i post both... probably slightly better the bw version but with those eyes (!!!)
A7R2 and Samyang 135mm f2 = Great combination, a bit challenging to focus at f2 but what a satisfaction to see the result.
a few random shots from my journey today
I left home with only one lens. and it's a good one.
I don't like shooting brick walls so I shot my instrument cluster to check if this copy is decently centered or not, looks ok to me.
although this is obviously not the perfect way to judge lol.
Joshua: I really like the UWA perspective of that first church shot.
Werner: That morning mist shot certainly conveys a special atmosphere.
Bob: Beautiful reflections in that nice, sharp city at night shot on the previous page. The stars produced by the 24-105 don't look better than I'd expected.
Jim: I'm no fan of modern art, but those reflections are pretty neat. Great find.
Dave: Beautiful aurora shots. I hope I'll be able to take another stab at those at some point.
Ronny: Despite that brief hovering period, I don't think I would be able to capture such a shot, certainly not in this life time.
Mike: Stunning reflections and lightning in that mountain vista landscape.

Manuel, they are both equally great but my preference is the B&W; somehow it seems to be more fitting to the theme of classic Hollywood-style the way I see it. Of course, I realize that the shooting was in Parma and not in Hollywood

Thank you, Chris! I love the MW image there. You didn't use any star tracker for that shot, right? Could you post the exif data for that image, please? Thanks!

Beautiful shots, Joshua! You've got the two zooms I would take for travel, plus a fast lens to complete the useful coverage.
It's been awhile since I've posted anything here, but I'm proud of this shot simply because of how long it took to edit. The full file is 172 megapixels large and really put a strain on my computer. This is a 12 shot stacked pano with the 55/1.8 wide open. Each individual frame is a 5-shot stack in Starry Landscape Stacker.
