Two more auroras from the 10th/11th. This will likely be it for a while - I promise - maybe... :-)
One of my bucket list aurora photos is getting tight into the Mendenhall Towers and have them silhouetted by some cool lights. These images are getting close...
The first image's title is in honor of the climbers Ryan Johnson and Marc-André Leclerc recently lost on the Towers : "In Search of Souls"
The second image is one of my faves. It's a 5 shot pano with the Sony 55. For me it best captures the vista from our spot on the ridge.
Cheers!

Started undergoing my refamiliarization with the manual Samyang (Rokinon) 14mm f2.8 lenses in Canon and Nikon mount. I have not touched these lenses in a couple years, and definitely not since getting the 12-24G.
I was pleasantly surprised how good they are via Sigma MC-11 and Commlite Pro adapters for the two mounts.
Overall, it looks like the Canon is a bit better on the edges. But that could just be the mount and adapter registration with the funky Commlite length. I will need to check with dumb mount. Regardless the Nikon mount works great on the D800e.
Here are a few shots from today.
Our house was recently painted, so let us start there, showing the Canon mount with Sigma adapter.
