I promised no more aurora images for a while so let's call this a Milky Way image :-)
"The Milky Way, the Aurora, some Stars and Steve"
"STEVE" is a recently documented, non-aurora phenomenon seen in the lower part of the image - sorta looks like an aurora band but isn't. STEVE is an acronym for Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement
After about 6 months of no time to get out with camera in hand I was able to take a trip to Tombstone Territorial Park in Yukon Territory. I would call this the Patagonia of the north. Gorgeous rugged country, lovely colors, GREAT Northern Lights - and when a front moves through bitter cold nights!
Anyway - this will be the first of a few from me. Its all laptop processed for now - but its all I got for the next few months.
Thank you Peter, Ronny for your comment and others for the likes.
Indeed, I haven't been shooting much this year due to, say swing of interests and lack of time, but I am hoping to put my all recharged Sony batteries to a good use this fall. My wife booked a few weeks trip this November to Korea and Taiwan so I promise post more.
For now, couple more shots from British Columbia to encourage Peter to revisit soon

Some additional shots from Canstruction 2018. I can't imagine how much time it took to develop the designs and assemble some of these. El Luchador (the masked wrestler) is also a personal favorite of mine. The last three are different angles of the same structure. Pretty cool how each angle shows you a different design. "300" represents the tricentennial celebration of San Antonio.
