Thank you Todd.
If you click on the link below the photo you'll get all the details but I think it was f3.5 at 20sec on the A7RIII. No tracking and just one exposure. Dark skies with no light pollution are the most important factor.

Excellent.... what are the exposure details on this one? Use a star tracker?
Great Amsterdam shots Joshua! I love that city and have visited probably 20 times!
Here's more experimental shots with the Zeiss Opton Sonnar 50/1.4 converted from a Contax RF mount. For a lens circa 1950 or so, it has some great colors and rendering. I'll have to include a picture of the lens on the A7r3. Even with TAP it's quite small.
The lens has no focus ring but Voigtlander has an adapter that fits in the VM-E. If using the VM-E, the helicoid becomes the focus ring. However, using TAP, this 65 year old lens autofocuses!

Thank you very much, Bob! I know you have been there many times but I didn’t know that many . I used to live in Holland approximately 20 km north of Amsterdam for 5+ years.
Your new, old lens generates great images with excellent contrast and wonderful colors. I would like to see more images from that lens, please.
A couple shots during my dog walk in a foggy morning last week. It's been a wet summer and hopefully that is good for the foliage next month. I use my Sony 100-400 GM for all sorts of things, birds, planes, leaves, landscape in distance... Hope to put it to good use next month.
This thread is still going strong. I used a lot of likes, while catching up.
Joshua, Bob (nice to see old class being put too good use, contrast might be slightly subdued compared to modern glass, but there is something to that old Sonnar's rendition), Rene, Jim, Douglas, Ronny, Helena, Philip, nampramos (impressive night sky shot on the previous page; did you use a track for that?) and everyone I've forgotten, great work on those last few pages.
Here is a recent shot from Northern Japan taken with the Loxia 21.
Shots from a short walk near my home. Still getting accustomed to how the 28/2 focuses (and I need to do a controlled test to make sure it's centered) but so far so good for the most part
I also got my manual Nikon G to FE adapter in, but I have to admit, I think it's a bit futzy and I'm not sure I'll stay in MF very long.

Thank you Chris. No tracker. Just a 20sec single exposure at ISO6400 and f/3.5 on the Loxia 21.
I can see you also have one. Fantastic little lens. I can't see myself getting rid of mine any time soon.
Where in Japan is that nice capture? I'm headed there next month for 3-4 weeks and plan on renting a campervan for at least 2 weeks.
Thank you. That shot was taken in Shiretoko, the national park on the Eastern side of Hokkaido, Japan's Northern most island. Unfortunately, this beautiful place is full of tourists between spring and fall, meaning you have to get there early, if you don't want to deal with the touristy hordes running into and ruining your shots. Enjoy your trip. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
