Very nice and colorful set of images Phillip!
I love the light and saturation, not to mention the fact that it literally cools me down a good bit - it is quite hot even over here in Germany.
Could you tell us, where these are taken at?
Looks like Norway, though something even reminds me of the eastern fjords of Iceland.
Best regards, wherever you are at and taking photos!
They are from Senja in northern Norway. I am back in Germany now and the temperatures are just annoying. Over there it was 12-18 degrees.
Sony A7 with SMC Pentax-DA 35mm f2.4 AL (yes, it can do full frame and was probably designed for it) & Minolta Close-Up Lens No.2 wide open. My new contextual flower lens.
This plastic fantastic lens (really FANTASTIC if you can live with its plastic bayonet and no aperture ring) is the first new lens (I am not talking about all the used lenses) I bought since the kit lens for the Nikon D70 in 2005...
Have been a bit busy with writing articles for phillipreeve.net and taking pictures lately and found little time to actually post some. Trying to change that.
Sony FE 85mm 1.4 GM on Sony A7rII (was probably using Haida 0.9 ND)
Of all the lenses I have tried (which are a lot) the bokeh rendering of the 85mm 1.4 GM @f/1.4 might actually be the one I like most.
So I wonder whether future GM lenses will follow this approach (low mechanical vignetting + slightly undercorrected SA for smoother background bokeh)
or go "all in on sharpness" like the Sigma Art lenses...
