Weather has been terrible here for days, and doesn't show signs of letting up. Caught a quick break in the showers this morning. Don't see an empty beach in July very often, even at 8:45 AM. VM 40/1.2

Absolutely superb photo!
I love the scenery, with the moving train and the persons as well, and shooting B&W makes
all the important things about this pictures come out even better.
Great work!
Thanks a lot for the compliment ! Very appreciated.
Sweet image, Mitesh! Look at those colorful tags... 4 of them.

Another image from Bromo and this time is without any crater view but to the east, shortly before sunrise. The colors and intensity of the colors remind me of images that Bob @rji2goleez and Douglas @kdrk888 post on this thread. I ended up lowering the saturation somewhat.
I cropped the bottom of this photo to remove the lower branches and pink wings but it stretched the deminsons and I felt it was not as good so I left in the distractions. Comments on how I could have improved composition are appreciated. _DSC4063 by mwhartman, on Flickr

Thanks, Joshua! The Florida burrowing owls are much more accessible than the ones you shoot in SoCal. These owls literally nest in residential neighborhoods, so sometimes you're photographing owls next to someone's house!
While it may be old news to many, extreme telephoto and continuous focus is new territory to me. Takes some getting used to and experimentation with settings. This is hard stuff for a guy who favors ultra wide angle which I have put aside for a while.

And finally, a double-crested cormorant that was sitting still.
I always really respect the diversity of everyones style of photography! So cool to see what other people can capture - especially on subjects I am no good at (which is all of them haha)
