Got idea from CV 40mm f/1.2 thread to use Marumi DHG Achromat +3 Close-up Lens with Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/50 ZE, which is also weak in close-ups, like the CV 40mm f/1.2, but otherwise has pleasing rendering style (subjective opinion). Quite nice to "study" the background forest via boke in various soft forms and shapes when using Close-up lens. Lens seems to keep it character e.g. very "edgy" boke highlights when f/1.4-1.7 and super smooth boke (at large focus ring positions) starting from f/2.2.
