From last Friday's session... The lens used is Sigma 135mm f/1.8 at wide open aperture using the Eye-AF feature. At the level of firmware of current adapters, it would be hard for the Batis 135mm to match the performance of this lens, especially in terms of bokeh .
There are no Joshua shots, but first shots where I've managed to capture the hummers. Note to self, silent shutter (I was being lazy and left it on) and hummingbirds aren't the best mix.

Mathieu, I used silent shutter on the A9 a lot, basically almost always unless for triggering remote flash but I have not seen anything like that before. That's bizarre. What was the background that it would be rendered basically "white" like that?
I think the wing artifacts were from the A7RII's slow read out.
Background was another house, but the hummers were very backlit, so by the time I adjusted their brightness the house washed out. Also cropped and clones a bit of a feeder out since it was distracting.

PS: Oh I see A7RII was used. Yup, its silent shutter has severe rolling shutter artifacts.
I finally broke down and got the 90 Macro. I had been considering the 50 macro for its smaller size and half the cost, and then realized I'd get frustrated with the super close working distance, and just decided to get the 90. Some shots today (all on A7 III):
I am so behind on the forum here. I am finally past all of my editing for my commercial architecture clients. Time for editing some personal images from Enchanted Rock. It's about half the size of Stone Mountain in Atlanta, maybe less.
The gap in the rock formed a natural cave. My son, wife, and I made it through to the other side. Pretty cool place. I have some others with them in the shot to give some scale. These are large rocks.
