Peire -- That compliment means so much coming from you. I very much admire the authenticity of your photos (and the wealth of lens attributes). Thank you so much for making my morning!

Do you remember the image of the crater area of Bromo where the thick fog filled the entire lowland and reached to the bottom of the crater? One of the images is here: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1255248/686#14446064. This image is from the other side, showing the ridge on the left, where a village is located. Yes, there are hotels there and I stayed in one of them. And there is a communication tower there as well. The sun just rose on the east/left of this image and was shinning of the higher parts of the ridge and penetrated through an opening into the fog in the lower part of the image. The view was incredibly beautiful, it was jaw dropping really. My first image after i made it back home in one piece last night...

Some wonderful shots on this page!

A reshoot of yesterday's long exposure test. 6 minute exposure with the Lee Seven5 IRND 15 stop filter + Polarizer. Exposure without the ND would have been around 1/80 sec.

Not only are the Swiss mountains magnificent, but even the Swiss architecture is world-class, like here at Cabane Tracuit, 3256m:

Beautiful Loon shot . . . but where is the open water? Lake Minnetonka still has a lot of ice!

There's quite a bit of open water around.
This was on Lake Como, at Como park in Saint Paul. One to two dozen loons there. About ½ the lake is open.
Snelling and Sargent lakes are wide open at Fort Snelling.
The rivers, Minnesota and Mississippi are open.
I may try the dam in Coon Rapids today.
