I like the colors in these images, what were the shooting conditions like weather, time of day etc. like?
Thank you Phillip.
Spring rain brought up nicely vibrant colours in my local park. It was a misty evening just after light rain, around 6pm according to EXIF.
Speaking of colours; I normally use Safari to view images (great colour aware browser for Windows) as IE (on the left) makes everything waaay oversaturated:
Gregg, the rendering on 2nd photo (vertical tree) is really nice; DOF-boke transitions on the tree & edges of the tree are showing the signature rendering of 2/100C/Y - thanks for sharing.
Leica Elmarit-R 28mm f/2.8 v2 @ f/2.8, 1/20s, Sony A7r @ ISO 100, B+W Circular Polarizer 55mm

Thank you Samuli...I was, of course thinking of your images when I took that shot...so thank you!
Gregg A little torture test on the dynamic range to capture in one shot...I doubt it would have been salvageable on my 5D II.
I have to agree...I have been able to pull more shadows out of my 1D4 than when I had my 5D2, but the A7(r) blows even that away!! Nice shot!

Pictures from a "kosläpp" - Cows outside first time since winter.
I did not expect the amount of people there i would guess about a thousand.
This seems to be a big happening each year. I was there with the family and Ted loved it!
At this farm they had 50 milk cows.
I'm just crap at sharpening landscape(ish) pictures but i hope these are ok.
Some different processing in these.
All with A7 and FE 55
There where also horses to look at.
Macro work while waiting for the release of the cows
And they are out!, First ones running and jumping..
Different cows etc
Panorama to show the surroundings

I took a few with the RX1 also but that's for a different thread.
a simple picture with my a7r and Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f/3.5 sonnar mc which just arrived from kiev via ebay:
quite nice bokeh. can't wait to shoot more with it
The first one is with Summilux 50/1,4 ASPH, which is tack sharp only in the middle area at 1,4 - 4.
The sunglass selfie is with Rokkor MD 35-70/3,5. The macro is Tokina AT-X 90/2,5.
Sony A7R, Metabones III EF/E-Mount adapter, Canon 24/3.5 TSE II EF lens
Incredible sharp resolution with this sensor. Seeing it in RAW, still blows me away how many details in the cherry tree blossoms are visible even with this wide angle lens used!
Went whale watching (looking for gray whales, specifically) yesterday with some family in Puget Sound. Overall it was fun, I'd never seen gray whales before and we had a couple pop up right next to the boat. They are less spectacular than some other whales - no dorsal fin like orcas, and their tails don't come up much when they dive, if at all. No breaching, either.
They really are quite gray - it doesn't come through in my picture, but it was a fascinating shade up close.
As is typical, the weather was cloudy and not very warm out on the Sound. But, it didn't rain much at least!
Variations of gray, from the boat with the A7 and CV180/4:
(the last was converted to B&W, the sky wasn't *quite* that gray!)
A bit of color with the Leica 28/2 ASPH before the trip:
