Went whale watching (looking for gray whales, specifically) yesterday with some family in Puget Sound. Overall it was fun, I\'d never seen gray whales before and we had a couple pop up right next to the boat. They are less spectacular than some other whales - no dorsal fin like orcas, and their tails don\'t come up much when they dive, if at all. No breaching, either.
They really are quite gray - it doesn\'t come through in my picture, but it was a fascinating shade up close.
As is typical, the weather was cloudy and not very warm out on the Sound. But, it didn\'t rain much at least!
