Gregg, now that you shoot with Sony A7 your possibilities have widened a bit. How about Leica APO-Summicron-M ASPH 90mm? It's smaller than R version, nearly as good as Zeiss MP100 (and smaller!), faster than Leica APO Macro-Elmarit-R 100mm...
Honestly I am facing the same dilemma; to go for Dr. Mandler's old(er) Leica look or stick with current ZF/ZM or upcoming Zeiss E-mount lenses.
Well, Zeiss and Sony/Zeiss FE can be purchased at any time, right?
