Loxia 85/2.4 - while I get used to this one, I want to make sure I get a lot done at f5.6. It's an old-fashioned lens that peaks at that FL. This is an old Brit building in Shimla, built back in their kick-ass phase. They never stopped until the job was done in the Raj, see the frilly rooftop features. I particularly like the asymmetry of the whole structure.

Thank you very much, Jim! Since you described it as being plural, here is the second one of her then....

I was referring to the excellent work you've shown of her -- quite a nice catalog for her portfolio! Another shot is welcome -- thanks. So, all I have to do is ask for another shot of her in the water?

Looks like a very nice lens -- pretty sharp out to the edge of the frame -- FF, I hope! JK!

A couple tight interior shots from the Loxia 50.

Jonathon, I can now tell your street portraits before I see your name. I really like them! Actually, but please keep this a secret, I am green with envy

Thank you, Philippe, for your very kind words. Your phrase, "street portraits", describes precisely what I am attempting to achieve. No need to be envious, since your own photographs are invariably excellent.

Joshua, you seem to be swimming in very dangerous waters. Suspicious numbers of shipwrecked maidens, methinks. Somewhere between "pirates of Penzance" and "Jamaica Inn"

As Gollum would say, "Tricksy lighting."

All these interior shots are single exposure with under available light, which is mixed daylight and various kinds of artificial lights.

All I'm looking for is a representation of the overall impression the rooms made on me, not true "reality," whatever that is! My interpretation changes each time I look at the scene -- maybe too green? maybe too warm? too dark? maybe just right?

At least the highlights aren't completely blown, nor the shadows completely noisy -- thanks to the wonderful sensor.

I don't remember which thread I had responded to someone saying their 12-24G was poor at 24mm, or that the lens in general is supposedly known to not be really sharp at 24mm, but here is my rebuttal. I'm trusting my lying eyes.

12-24G, tripod, LRCC.

12-24G did outstanding job with you working it. I know nothing of shooting buildings inside or out but that looks great.

No, thank you, Jim and here as requested is another image of her in water before we change the theme. I have posted plenty of images of Ari at this location. There is not enough water in the image but the way I look at it is too much water would not show much of her. So, here it is then.

Philippe, there were actually images of more models that got "shipwrecked' that have not been posted so far. As the day progressed, those dangerous waters somehow managed to make some pieces of clothing disappear during that shipwrecking process or those clothing pieces somehow shrunk when got wet. No, everything was kept strictly PG as this is a public beach. I haven't posted any of those images yet since I am not sure about FMer's position towards voloptuous models wearing skimpy swimwear. It is still tasteful and without being salacious but still... and no, not of Ari or Leslie but of others.

CY 28/2.8, a7r - fear of great heights is often irrational because you have little chance of surviving even a 50 metre fall in a vehicle. But fear is a cumulative process, which is why the very high airy sections disturb people - they take a long time to cross. Here is one of the better sections of the main highway in eastern Spiti, the center zone is so unstable it must be rebuilt almost constantly, even in the four months free of snow. Drivers simply won't stop in the 'channels' - the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) have blasted and jack-hammered indents into the cliff face, and that is the road.
