Two weeks ago we crossed into northeast Utah, just so different a welcome compared to past visits to the southern half of the state. Here's our welcome sign-

Vasa Museum, Stockhom- The only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been salvaged. This is an amazing place and a real photography challenge when filled with tourists.
I really enjoyed your outstanding pics from Mallorca. It brings back very fond memories of my time spent there as a young U.S. Navy Sailor on leave. I was in a Navy air squadron attached to 3 different aircraft carriers over 6 years that made Mallorca my favorite port of call in the entire Mediterranean Sea.
I was taking pictures back then in the early 1980's with a Pentax 35mm film camera!
Fall is approaching in New England. This Dogwood tree is a little ahead of the rest in my yard but the trees are starting to turn colors. I'm headed up to Vermont for a few days soon and look forward to seeing how much the foliage has turned a little further north of where I live.

Chuck - thanks so much! Glad I could give you some fond memories. This was my first time there. I was really there for a Backroads bike trip so my photography time was somewhat limited. We already want to return and perhaps just as simple tourists to explore all the nooks and crannies of the island.
Using a lens that I haven't used much lately....the Batis 25mm. Pushed back by Loxia 21mm, GM 24-70 and FE 12-24 but each time I grab this lens, I am pleased with its performance. Although the speed doesn't matter much in this case but the 2-stop down aperture increased the IQ for my taste.
Great stuff as usual from everyone. Took this shot of New York from the New Jersey side in a haste as where I parked was not exactly legal. I was surprised the seagulls on the wood poles barely moved in the 30 second exposure. DSC09327 by Douglas Liu, on Flickr
