Helena - Very nice images. I am finding the Monocle/Monolens to be very challenging in that I don't have the same confidence in shooting. I am never
quite sure what aperture setting will yield the effect I am seeking. Full of surprises! A7RII with 50mm Monocle/Monolens
Thank you Dale! Yes, they are tricky tools and can be quite frustrating. Sometimes when I have been out with mine I delete all photos afterwards and think I won't use it in a while, but immediately start to miss it and the next time I usually get some nice shots that I couldn't have gotten without it and all is well again. The unpredictably is part of their charm, and it gets easier with time to know what works or not. The right subjects and light is very important and I think most of my frustrations come from using the lens for scenes it's not suited for.
f/4.5 seems to be a good middle ground, but if the subject is worth it I try other apertures too.
Whew! Ronny, your new set is awesome. I don't need to go back to Iceland, I have your pics! Werner, as ever, absolutely smashing! René, your 2 sets of B&W dislocated my jaw. Manuel, exceptional piano pics, and I know what I'm talking about, my mother was a professional. Dale, Helena, love your monocle shots (finaly "getting it", it seems). Do two monocles together create a binocular? Samuli, great stuff, as always, including with those lenses we both love to hate. Ryan: love it! Fred: a wall-hanger (no surprise here!)

Beautiful Manuel. Lovely bokeh, color, and framing. I can virtually hear the piano in your image.
Thanks to David for your valuable and highly appreciated feedback... so at least in one case I have achieved my goal
Thank you Ronny!

Thank you Philippe! Flattered...
Master touch with the warm background tone (streetlight?) on your cold tone flower pic. Great contrast and wooooonderful bokeh

Olaf, I don't think I've seen more of a consistent 3D look here than I see in your marvelous 109mm projection lens photos. Really cool images.
Ronny, excellent images from Iceland and I love the latest one above!
