Thanks for the kind words, Chris, and nice shot, too!
Lots of people to salute: Joshua, Bob, Dale, Samuli, Ronnie, Kurt (wow! Can't even imagine how it was done and shot!),Dave! That there are many of you doesn't reduce the admiration I have for each and every one!
On my early morning walk in Paris, after a while the rain stopped and the weather lightened up a bit, which let me get away with this.
My apologies. I've just realized, too late to delete the post, that the picture wasn't taken with a Sony full frame camera. If you "Liked" the post, please "Unlike" it.
I love the rendering of this lens! The background looks like it is from a different photo and the subject is so sharp -- a great contrast in focal plane vs OOF. Color and contrast are amazing.
Okay, I better put my bid in before you eventually sell this lens to someone else.

One dreary late afternoon in Venice but the "show must go on"....The absent of people albeit for a very brief moment lends a little bit of "mysteriousness" to the image.
Great pics everybody! Hard to keep up but here's more from my visit to Cleveland this past week including another version of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
So, for the past several years, we've had a hooded oriole couple every spring/summer in our backyard.
This year, they seem to have managed to hatch a new generation. As of yesterday, I counted a total of 5 (I think juveniles), 2 males and 3 females.
They seem to like the hummingbird feeder.
I got a couple of nice shots of 3 of them feeding together yesterday, but the lighting was terrible. Might post those later. Got a few decent ones this morning. Only one visitor at a time though.
