Sorry, Ronny, I missed this.... .
I always enjoy your images from Jökulsárlón!

From time to time, I like to put a 3-D object fairly close to the camera in my composition using an ultra wide angle lens. As a part of evaluating how the overall performs, I figured why didn't I use an object of art? Yes, I am pleased with the performance of this lens in this respect.
Wow! The last two pages have been sincerely incredible! Helena, Joshua, Rene, Werner, digital-am, Phillippe, Bob, Daniel, Ronny, andersd, Jannick, Phillip, Kater, viramati, Dale, Dougo, nicola, genji...too awesome! Love them all...
Took the FE 50 ZA out for a late night dinner/walk along the Kaanapali hotel front. It performed so well. It was my frirst real outing at night with it, and I was not let down!

1/8th ISO5000 @f1.4....it was DARK, except for the lights along the walkway!
These are cross posted from the FE 100-400 GM test thread. I'm loving this new 100-400 GM lens. It is sharp wide open at the 400mm focal length with and without the 1.4x teleconverter. So it will be a great lens for those needing the longer focal lengths. I ordered an A6500 to use primarily with this lens and having it at 600mm or 840mm (with 1.4x teleconverter) will be fun to use for wildlife, birds, and action shooting.

I've used mine almost exclusively with the A6500. Love how quickly this combo works. Now, I need to find a 1.4x TC!
Chuck, it will be interesting to see how the AF will be affected with a TC on the a6500. I am looking at the same option a few months down the road. Don't want to keep the Nikon DSLR/long lenses just for two purposes (birds and airshows).

Douglas, I'm looking forward to finding that out tomorrow. Even with the 1.5 crop alone the 600mm focal length at 24 megapixels will be wonderful but if the 1.4 x teleconverter works as well as it does with the A7r II it will be a home run.
