Here is the view from the northern section of the Riverwalk looking south towards downtown SATX. The early evening light was nice as it emphasized the buildings and river in the center. I merged 3 exposures in PS after failing multiple times in Photomatix. This was due to the leaves moving a bit during the exposures.
A final set of shots from my recent Italy trip that I'd like to share. So many different photos options but since this is in a gear-related forum and I like gear, I'd like to focus on the Loxia 35 lens. While its sharpness at the corners can be questionable, I find its lack of distortion provides a unique look for cityscapes and architecture where the proportions just seems right.

Hey all!! Been a very long time! Just got back from 13 days on Kauai Monday late night. Went back to work Tuesday morn so I haven't had much time to do anything. Finally able to edit a few....

A7rll and Contax 35-70/3.4 on Maui north coast
The first shot is taken from the hallway on the eighth deck of a cruise ship in the North Sea. The shot was exposed for the setting sun just like the second shot from the outside deck, no bracketing, just a silhouette shot of the hallway. In Lightroom I made a copy of the silhouette, opened up the shadows and then did an HDR merge of the two images. I was tempted to create additional bracketed exposures but final adjustments to the two shot merge were adequate. These RAW files have a lot of depth.
Thanks John, Gregg, Ronny and everyone else for Like received... much appreciated.
Never been in Iceland and I'm sure there are plenty of wonderful places around the World but, for my experience, Yosemite is at the top of places visited in my life

In addition to portraits, there is another type of photography I love. No, not landscape although yes, I love landscape photography, too but I am referring to wildlife photography. For Sony mirrorless system users though, it is a daunting task but I managed to get something to work with AF. Here is an image of 1,120mm at wide open that I captured today just a few hours ago and yes, it is confirmed the AF works! I will start a thread later but for right now here is the image and its crop to show the details. I will start a thread later on and I will reveal the "secret". I am still working on images from this morning, including a BiF image. FYI, the main lens is my Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 IS Mark II.
