Joshua, did you tell the backstory of the lavender fields session(s)? If so, unfortunately I must have missed it...
Jonathon, thanks for you note. There is no backstory actually but I posted a little background of a similar event last year, at the French Estate.
It was a session organized by someone who rented the entire place last Sunday. She rented nice wardrobes from some designers, hired and (more importantly) selected models and hired make-up artists. The photographers chipped in to cover the costs and they didn't have to worry about anything but just shooting. I am sure there was some money left over and that will be her cut; I am OK with that. The models and MUAs are not professionals; they all have a day job but they get reimbursed for their time and expenses. The same goes for the photographers, just a bunch of enthusiasts. And that makes it fun since nobody's livelihood depends on this or similar events.
There are quite a bit of event organizers locally where I live and I have done this a few times. It can keep you busy but I am quite selective. The next event I am interested in doing will be in 5 weeks from now.

Here is another image then and yes, from the same session
Helena, your "paintings" are lovely and I'm very glad to see them! I always enjoy different and unusual treatment and rendering, and you've chosen your subjects and compositions so well.

Douglas, philber, Peter and Jim, thank you very much for the kind feedback, and everyone else for the Likes! Jim, would love to see some photos from your Sima lens. Hope you decide to keep it.
Okay! I pulled the lens out of the "Sell Bag" to give you some fresh examples from around the yard.
These are all at the LR default -- no correction or cropping. Just as they camera out with the minor auto-adjustments of Adobe.
Camera: a7R2, mainly to take advantage of IBIS due to 100mm lens, crude 2" washer with 0.75" opening affixed to front of lens to provide approx. f/5.6 aperture (lens is f/2 as manufactured).
Thank you very much Danny! I too enjoy seeing different/unusual renderings, subjects, photographic experiments etc.. Hope more will post theirs. I'd like to see more from Joan's Lensbaby Twist too.
Tim, wow - great perspective, overall colours and composition.
Samuli, congrats on the beautiful image and 2000 posts.
Helena, I really like images 1 and 3 from your monolens set and feel the painting-like style works well on these.
Rene, stunning image of the mountain lake (guessing here, but hopefully that should be right given some of your other images?!) above.
Peter, nice atmosphere!
