Joshua, thanks for the detailed explanation. What a great concept -- it seems like everyone concerned benefits from the experience, which has given you the opportunity to make a whole lot of beautiful photographs.

Jonathon, thanks for you note. There is no backstory actually but I posted a little background of a similar event last year, at the French Estate.
It was a session organized by someone who rented the entire place last Sunday. She rented nice wardrobes from some designers, hired and (more importantly) selected models and hired make-up artists. The photographers chipped in to cover the costs and they didn't have to worry about anything but just shooting. I am sure there was some money left over and that will be her cut; I am OK with that. The models and MUAs are not professionals; they all have a day job but they get reimbursed for their time and expenses. The same goes for the photographers, just a bunch of enthusiasts. And that makes it fun since nobody's livelihood depends on this or similar events.
There are quite a bit of event organizers locally where I live and I have done this a few times. It can keep you busy but I am quite selective. The next event I am interested in doing will be in 5 weeks from now.

Here is another image then and yes, from the same session
I will be sharing some images from a new series from an area in SATX called the King William District. It's a plush neighborhood with some unique (and expensive) homes.
I have a love-hate relationship with the Zony FE 35/1.4. It's so big and heavy that it stays in my dry cabinet most of the time. But yesterday, on a whim, I took it out in the late afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Given that my frame of reference for autofocus is a legacy 45mm or 50mm lens on the TAP, I was impressed by the speed and accuracy of the autofocus in quite low light. These pictures were made about a half hour apart with the Zony switching with ease from flowers to reportage. I just wish I could have that performance and IQ in a smaller, lighter package.
Great shot, Daniel. Never thought I would see a shot with a mighty Tak in this a7 thread. Would you mind sharing how many exposures you took for that shot?
