Nice shot, K-H. I have the FE 90mm macro, I am looking at the FE 85 f1.8 with great interest. But knowing I don't shoot portraits all that much, I am beginning to wonder if I can get by just with the 90mm macro for the very occasional portraiture shots. I was away for a few days, so many beautiful pictures had been added to this thread since my last visit...
This is my favorite tree at our local park. I edited it using the latest On1 Photo RAW. I'm slowly moving away from Nik since it may stop working soon. I still love the Nik plug-ins though.

Thanks Douglas, every day this thread grows by leaps and bounds.
I am sure the FE 85 f1.8 is a fine lens as well.
My FE 90mm macro is the sharpest FE lens I own.
With appropriate post-processing in Capture One Pro it can deliver pleasing portraits.
Eye-AF on the Focus Hold button is so inviting to set up.
For more deliberate portrait shots I use the Leica Summilux-R 80/1.4 with the TAP AF adapter.
No Eye-AF here, but the TAP nails focus every time.

Sunset from the Sandia Peaks. I'm not sure about my decision to leave the railing in. Thoughts on that would be appreciated!
To be quite honest it would just be yet another sunset shot without the red railing. For me that makes the shot, it's bright, grabs attention from the off and is a good contrast leading you into the shot. It's something different and that's what we should be aiming for.
