So sorry to hear of your loss. We had 2 dachshounds, one while growing up and one later. Both had to be put down due to health problems. I can certainly appreciate the pain that you and your family are going through losing such an important member of your family.

Thank you both very much.
And thank you to everyone for all your kind comments. Really means a lot. Although I've never met any of you in person, I still feel that I can call you friends.

Bob -- Really interesting what you are getting out of that Russian lens with reversed front element! I'm curious how the effect changes with smaller apertures.
Thanks John! I don't know why this lens and camera combination is so energizing to me, but it is. Every time I shoot with it, it seems the images are better that what I anticipate seeing once they come up on the computer. And I can't recall another lens/camera that was so amenable to PP. I wish there was a 24, 25, or 28 Loxia!
Not many samples around from this lens so i thought id post these from a few days ago. Nothing special as far as the pics go. The lens has harsh or jittery bokeh behind the subject which gives a pictorial effect, a little. It has a little purple flinging wo which seems the case with most Mamiya m645 lenses. Its extremely sharp stopped down to 5.6 or so and seems to exceed the a7rii sensor.
I haven't shot anything recently so I went through my archive and edited some images. Here is one from the Kemah Boardwalk from March with some split toning using luminosity masking after my black and white conversion. The fog was really something that morning.
