At Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park, Maine
Pocket park in honor of Kurt Cobain, founder of Nirvana, in his hometown of Aberdeen, WA. Park is near his old house and the bridge is featured in lyrics of Nirvana song, and the river in the title of their live album, "From the Muddy Banks of the Muddy Wishkah".
Needless to say, the town in conflicted on how to (or whether to) honor him, resulting in sad and half-hearted memorials around town.
It probably comes as no surprise that I've been a fan since discovering their first album, "Bleach," around 1990.
