Thanks Gregg and likewise for yours... really impressed by the last one: could you explain us from which point you took this? I suppose from the top of the dam but in this case 35mm seems to me a bit short
@Chuck@: great captures!!! This is the first time I'm impressed by SR app... maybe the key is to exaggerate (128 or 256 images)
Manuel
Thank you for the kind words. I think the SR App can work great especially at the higher frame rates on slower moving scenes such as the water in the bay and the clouds in the sky. It gets trickier when using it on subjects with faster moving scenes like water falls and fast moving running streams. I just try to experiment going from 64-128-256 and checking the results on my LCD after each attempt.

Few more samples of Carl Zeiss Biogon T* 2/35 ZM rendering style (Technical details: Camera A7 Kolari v2 thin filter, in front of lens OptoSigma SLB-50-3000PM to correct field curvature and astigmatism caused by thick sensor front glass in A7 - and yes even with Kolari v2 modification this lens is not usable, should work with Ultra Thin (UT) modification)

f/4.0
PS. These are my first images compressed with guetzli. For example 1st image was 660kb when compressed with libjpg (e.g. ImageMagick) or PhotoShop, but guetzli image is 406kb, and comparing images I could not see any difference. Drawback is that it seems to take ~1 minute from 3.8GHz i7 to compress one these 1280px wide JPEGs, it seems there is no parallel processing, only one core utilized, so there is some optimization still to do by Google.

Bob that lens looks like a winner in your hands.

Thanks Chuck. So far so good. It vignettes far less than the older f/2.8. It's not distortion free but much less than the old model as well. And wide open, the corners have been looking good.
So awesome, Bob! Really beautifully shot. Great coverage of this location.
I'm looking forward to more of your use of this lens.
I've already got the Samyang original in both Canon and Nikon mounts, but this new one looks really a world apart. I may want to go this way instead of the Laowa or CV alternatives at 12 and 15.
Jim - Thanks! I still have the Voigtlander 15 which I love for it's sharpness and sunstars and of course, size! It vignettes much more than the new Rokinon. This Rokinon is a very 'bright' lens too. I almost have to under expose whereas the CV needs to be pushed sometimes.
