I've seen very different results from ACR and Capture One, with regards to noise. DxO is also right up there, possibly better than ACR in the noise dept.
The Nikon 105 has great sharpness starting wide open, and is very easy to focus, but the color just plainly sucks. Hard to try to get the color looking anywhere near what it should be. The vignetting is horrible as well....may be time to try a Contax 90
