Aaaah. So good to be able to congratulate worthy posters, and re-connect with all my usual suspects. But, also to leave out deserving ones, just because there are many of you. So hat off to XP, to Fred, to Helena, to Bob, to Gregg, to Samuli, outstanding work! Love the loxia 85 shots, as well. What a nice imagemaker! And apologies to others, left out for want of a working memory.
Just another iteration of an arum lily, with Otus 55 wide open.
Some more from the Trondheim harbor.
The ones with sharp corners are from A7II + CV Nokton 50/1.5 VM and the other two are from A7 + Lensbaby Sweet 50.

The more I study APO-Summicron-M 90 boke, more faults I find. These may not be visible in my real photos (nature), where there rarely is this high contrast. These are shoot with f/2.8, even then there are green color issues behind the focus plane, and magenta color issues in front of the focus plane. Seems that Leica's APO is APO only at focus plane, and boke has color errors on contrast edges like many 10x cheaper lenses. Other than this lens seems to be really good. If looking whole image not details, photos from this lens look very good, at least to my eye.

Here are two more from the Olivine Wilderness Area, Aspiring National Park, NZ. The first was taken the morning after a major rain storm, which we took shelter from in a rock bivvy just visible in the jumble of large boulders in the centre-right of the image. The second is my wife and son on the approach to Fiery Col, so named because of the ultramafic rocks on the right that contain so much iron, magnesium and other metals that plants are unable to grow there.

Had a weekend away with friends on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We stayed at Hollow Rock just south of Grand Portage. It was supposed to be a cloudy night so we all went to bed hoping for a decent sunrise. Well, I woke up at 4am, looked out the window and saw nothing but stars.
