Unfortunately it was poor weather to test contax 100-300 ... snow and rain in the air.. about 0 degrees Celius and the strong winds and very low light
try some more next weekend if there is better weather
But I like my first post on Nitro .. think it has a spec style and think this will be a great lens for landscape and landscape views ..
but if it works well with other things, it is a bonus .. looking forward to test it more in spring and summer .. perhaps with tubes etc.

Liked the Nitro shot, bokeh is just the preface of what that lens has to offer. Looking forward to see what you produce with it :-)
Went to Westview Cemetary in Atlanta today. Never been before. Cemetary dates from the late 1800's and many prominent Atlantans are buried there though today the neighborhood is less good and few visitors were there today.

Ever pick up a lens after not using it for a while and found yourself in awe of it's output? That happened to me today with the Zeiss Distagon 35/1.4ZM. Of course, I know it's a good lens and I've drooled over it's output in the past. But today, I found myself in that OMG moment.
The shots below, by themselves, are nothing all that special. But the combination of sharpness, color and rendering of this lens made my jaw drop . . . again. These images needed very little post processing. I hope it displays well here but on my monitor, I fell in love again. Please excuse my enthusiastic drool.

I'm sorry, I wasn't angry or meaning anything mean-spirited, only offering some friendly criticism and explanation as to why on your recent posts. I love your subjects, composition, and general contrast and would be happy on those counts to give you all "likes" and praise. What seems unnecessarily animated HDR throws off the images in a jarring way. Not saying "don't use HDR", just saying I'd prefer your terrific images with a little less "pepper".
If I overstepped, I apologize. But as in bestowing "likes" and compliments, it seems an honest response to note anything positive that could improve someone's presentation. I might be off the mark here, and for that I'm sorry.
Certainly not angry at you or your work!
