Yeah, I think it's the longest time I've gone between placing an order and getting a lens. I almost had Zeiss send me one to borrow, then things got quiet. Poof, all of a sudden Popflash sent me a shipment email.
It's a beast, but it's still my go to UWA lens when I know I'm going to be shooting that wide.

^ Nice Tim! I remember how much I loved that Distagon 15/2.8. I remember when we were both trying to buy one at the same time . . . that was fun.
I've shot from this spot many times before but never with such a wide field-of-view (FoV). The buildings in the center were much closer to me. That's the effect of an ultra wide angle like the Laowa 12mm. Objects in the center get pushed back. I thought about using puppet warp to bring them up but preserving the scale across all the buildings would be tricky. There was a nice subtle sunrise glow in the background which I really liked that morning.

Been meaning to get a macro but remembered I bought a sigma 70 macro for my wife a few years ago, it's not been used much so i liberated it from it's box.

Taken somewhere between Idaho Falls and Craters of the Moon National Monument. I really enjoyed Idaho during my week there - I wish I had more time to just roam around, would also visit in the fall. Gorgeous place.
