Just picked up a new toy -- the Minolta MD 35-70 f/3.5 Macro. Very nice condition for $80. It's a really solid lens across the focal length, and does a little macro in a pinch too. Think I'll use it for my walkaround zoom...

anybody have any thoughts on the voigt 75 1.8? Is it sharp wide open?
I know i can use it for many things, but Im looking mainly at portraits!
Great pictures in the last couple of pages, inspiring!
The M mount? No. It's not razor sharp wide open. It is at 2.8 though. Wide open it's a lovely portrait lens with lower contrast and really nice blur. I use mine on my M9 at F2 a lot.

Really great results everyone. Inspiring.
Everyone's really starting to figure out how to get the best out of these cameras - which lenses to use, how to process the images etc. I wonder how many A7 & A7R's this thread has sold?
I'm also up for a Santa Cruz or Bay Area get together!
May be out there in a month. Ready to learn some tricks.
Wow! This thread moves really fast! Great images from everyone! I fell like I'm constantly hitting the "👍" button!! Keep them coming!
Another from "while I was working"...from the other day!

a7R + "Bokina" 90mm f/2.5. The combination is well weighted / balanced with great results from the lens itself - this is definitely coming with me on my travels to Japan in May. Now to work out what else to bring along. Zeiss 18mm f/3.5 in EF mount and FE 55mm f/1.8 I'm thinking at this point in time. Any other suggestions?
I'll second that! Your expertise Werner does an exemplary job of highlighting the capabilities of the Zeiss 24-70. It is quite refreshing to see these images after so many are maligning this lens. I'm really looking forward to taking this Zeiss to Europe this summer after seeing these great shots.
