Prepare for a visual assault and protect your eyes - shades required !
I make no excuses - I've actually had to dial back the saturation in places as there is so much gold and brightly coloured paint, and additional inset lighting to highlight it. This is Yu Yuan (Yu Gardens) one of Shanghai's star attractions that foreigners love so much (China's best dumplings - Nanxiang dumplings - can be found here). I pop down there from time to time just for the fun of it and to gorge on the pork & crab roe dumplings
EDIT : Something has gone wrong with the sharpness here - extremely sharp prior to uploading so I'll have to look at this and may replace these versions.
The sky is also horrendous in #2 and #4 both here and on SumgMug but not on the computer (not the first time SmugMug has messed with the image quality on uploading - they couldn't offer any valid suggestions when I contacted them, I may have to consider switching. This is all very frustrating.
I have problems with sharpness here when I upload directly from my computer, which is what I normally do. Soft and lighter on FM, and ultra-over-sharpened and darkened on Facebook with the same image! It didn't used to be that way here, and I gauged my sharpening on FM presentation. Now I can't count on it.

Cheers ! It's all very frustrating but I'm working on a new website, stored on a dedicated server on Blue Host, so maybe after uploading there it will improve.

Kevin,
Frankly, there is hardly any difference between here and on SmugMug. Still though, your images are great and I could imagine that they would look significantly better on your monitor . I am sure it has to do with resizing due to the file size limits for web presentation.
