yeah, i've been thinking that waiting till june probably won't save me any money considering i can get an a7 brand new now for under $1400. might as well enjoy it for a couple extra months. plus, i've been really unhappy using my nex-5n since the nex-7 broke. just can't get along well with that camera (comparing it to the rx1 isn't helping either).
i'm very happy with the performance on the a7r of my rokkors btw, i finally can have a digital version of my xd-11. the contax g28 is awesome btw at macro distances, as many others have noted it has ridiculous field curvature and vignetting at normal distances.
Good :-). After some time with the camera - going all-out with SLR lenses - I am actually quite happy about the now established negative performance of RF-type lenses below 35mm. That is because it could influence Sonys design of the A8's sensors. It may sound overly optimistic but with the obvious shortage of native lenses a lot of reviewers do test Leicas etc and Sony cant be totally immune to that. Regardless, the A7's are still very attractive as they are.

Hey Phil...those are sooc jpg's...I had the DRO set to 4-5 I think! I had heard that the 40 Nokton Classic was great for BW work, and I have to agree!
Thank, btw, for the kind words! I just took a bunch if my youngest too, and will post some of those later!

Awesome images, Gregg, especially the last one. It looks very film like. The lens seems very sharp too!
Thank you Stass...Every review I read on the lens talked about film and it's BW rendering...I think like it!

That last one seems poignant; you can see the "chub" of youth but also more defined facial structure that comes once you're out of adolescence. In short, it's a nice bridge moment, that many years later your child can say "wow, I looked like that? But, I can see me in there, too."
