I do quite a bit of studio model work and always use the Sony SEL 16-70/4 with my A7R ii. This may sound odd as the images are cropped to 18mp but I find that it works extremely well. Here are a few examples, all with studio flash at ISO100, f/8 and 1/160.

Greg,
Great grabs indeed and you provide some of the best. Thanks a lot for your service to this little community.
By the way, is Contax 35-50/3.4 your favorite lens? Keep coming up with great photos.

Wow! Thank you Henryk! Im very appreciative!
I've gone through 4 copies of the 35-70/3.4 over the years, and finally won't be getting rid of this one. So yes, prob my favorite. It's just a stellar lens, as many an Fm'r will tell you. I'm anxiously awaiting my copy of the new Techart adapter so I can use AF with it. That will make this lens even better! As I'm sure Bob will testify to as well...

Two more images from Costa Rica - The blue grey tanager on the left is really good in chasing away the other one in the first image. Both images were captured at wide open aperture, BTW.
