Wow, Philippe, I am honored and . I will make sure to let you know if we are going to Costa Rica again but I got a hunch that the trip to Lofoten will be before that.
For a change here is a different theme than critters/birds from CR - the "Golden City" also known as Downtown LA last night as sunset colors were reflected on the high-rises there.
Very nice as always! I've been away for a bit, so I need to scroll a few pages back to catch your CR shots. Will do so this morning.
I'm always game for a trip to DTLA by the way. So many good things to shoot down there.
BTW: Not a wide shooter at all, but all these Batis 18, Voigt 10 and Loxia 21 shots here can make anyone lust for new lenses and consider new ways of shooting. Great!
Nothing special compositionally but this looks to be a special lens . . . Leica R 28/2.8 E55. This is midday sun shooting so much more testing is needed. This may be 'fixed' on my camera for some time . . .
Hard to keep you. Excellent work from the usual suspects, Ronny, Werner, Joshua, Bob, Philippe, Greggf.
By the way, guys, please stop tempting me by posting all those impressive shots with the 10mm 5.6. The sun stars look really nice and remind me of my Loxia 21. After using that it's hard to use other lenses that create far less beautiful sun stars.
Here are two macro shots with the a7rii and my 20-30 year old Minolta 100 2.8.
JML 21 on A7r, I bought the lens with an M42 mount attached to it, I used an M42 to EOS adapter and an EOS to E-mount tilt adapter, FYI the image circle covers the sensor at full tilt(not used in this first test shot.
This lens works better for stacked images because DOF is very very shallow, the very tips of the flower head(1cm across) is in focus,
Great images everyone. Yes the 85 GM shots were from an engagement shoot. I'll post some others later using the 24-70 GM. That's the danger of Sony's loaner program. l used them for a Wedding and in Cuba and ended up buying both of them. (I definitely don't regret it so far. Just need to avoid any other lens evals for awhile)
Something a little different from Cuba. Two Panoramic shots of Havana at night from the top of the fort over looking the bay. (Plenty of old cars to come!!!)
The first is an in camera Pano (Vertical images) and the second is three images (shot horizontal) merged in lightroom.
Thanks Philippe & Joshua for the heads up on the issues with this image not showing up. Computer issues - I'll try again in a few minutes once I think I've got it sorted !
Butch...really nice. Looking forward to more engagement snaps and more Cuban cars!
Phillippe...I wish that was MY FAMILY estate. Wow! Nice image too!!
Joshua...absolutely stunning. Love the panning capture. Colors are blue look way cool

My attempt to emulate Ronny! Except I DID miss focus!!
