Been busy with hay season. Nothing fancy and wasn't worried about composition...just some quick snaps trying out my recently converted A7r with the LifePixel deep black IR. Taken with Canon FD 50/1.4 lens:

Mike, what an awesome set! I was never able to do one such picture for myself, though it sits high on my bucket list. Congrats!
The Bratts, Dale, Jenni, Gregg, super stuff!
Ronny, I hope you sold your lenses to Wilhelm. His Volvo needs lens love...:-)
This time my homage to FM legend Joshua Ong. Being here rather than in Costa Rica means with lemons, I gotta make....
Wow, Philippe, I am honored and . I will make sure to let you know if we are going to Costa Rica again but I got a hunch that the trip to Lofoten will be before that.
For a change here is a different theme than critters/birds from CR - the "Golden City" also known as Downtown LA last night as sunset colors were reflected on the high-rises there.
Ronny...killer, as always!
Phillippe....tribute to Joshua! Love it
Butch....really awesome series! Engagement? Can't go wrong with the GM85..
Werner...really. Awesome. Yes.
Joshua...something we don't see from you too often...very nice!
Gregg
A few more camping grabs
A7rll and Contax N70-200
200mm @f4.5...our water spigot!!! not a bokeh monster, but does well enough
Dale asked me where this was; as you can see, in the middle of a lot of trees!!

Joshua - downtown LA looks like Death Valley with all the photogs lined up - i particularly like the guy with the waist belt / fanny pack - taking it seriously in L.A. ! Now i know what my wife is worried about.....

Hi Gregg, thank you! Yes, for a change.... . Your camping grabs are not only great but they (the previous ones) show that you had a lot quality time with your family .

Thank you, Eric! That's why we go as a group . Actually, the business center of LA area, where we were, is not bad at all.

The mirrored cylinders of the Westn Bonaventure hotel shows up in the background of a lot of car commercials if you look closely
My meager Voigtlander 10mm Milky Way shot at Rainier

Yes, that's true.
Here is a similar but horizontal capture and about an hour later using the widest lens on the FE lineup. BTW, the two buildings on the right are tapered like that and not distorted .

Joshua...when did you get the Hyper-wide?? Is that why you're selling the Canon 11-24? Regardless, I love it!
Thanks, Gregg! I bought it after I came back from the CR trip. Now, I can say that I have a lens similar to the Loxia 21mm that can produce a nice "star/sun burst" . And yes, that's the reason I sold the Canon 11-24, which served me well and actually an awesome lens, just too big/heavy.... just a tad .

Outstanding shots of downtown L.A.! Love it!
Thank you, Jim! It was organized by a local group. If I go out there again, I know a few shooting buddies of mine would like to do it, I will let you know if you are interested. The more the merrier....
