Love your CR -shot Joshua.. stunning ( what cute little cat ;D )
Thank you very much, Ronny! Yes, the jaguar is cute and menacing at the same time.
You macro images are simply jaw dropping, Ronny .

My thoughts exactly! Though some names bear adding tothe list, starting with rené, but also Jim...
And Joshua, regarding this "cat-thing" with Charles. is it your way of saying: "mine is bigger than yours?"
No, I didn't mean that . It just happened I was about to post an image of the jag when I saw Charles' cat image .
In addition to the huge variety of birds, there is more wildlife in CR. Here are 3 more images along the Sarapequi river other than birds. We saw kingfisher but it was far away and it flew away as we approached it.

Your shots just getting better and better from the trip Great to see your work !
I have the itch to do some shooting but the weather hasn't cooperated. So, it was time to do a little test shooting with a lens I almost forgot I had . . . the Minolta M-Rokkor 40/2 CLE. It's a beautiful tiny little lens that performs pretty well on the Sony system. The first is at f/2 and the rest at f/8
Fantastic images as usual everyone! I think Ronny's Iceland pictures and Joshua's of Costa Rica will no doubt make some here itch to go.
I reacquired a Canon 24-70 L II for my A7RII and tried a few shots today. I have always admired some of the forest shots posted here that have that "cinematic" look to them but with my processing skill I have never been quite able to get that look. I want to thank aeonsim for so generously sharing the processing. It was overcast when I took these pictures.
This particular hummingbird thought he was an eagle .
Actually, there was another humming bird that was eyeing that particular heliconia stalk, He was merely showing this threatening gesture trying to defend his turf.
Shooting wide open with the FE 24-240. I originally posted this as 24-70. Sorry. I was thinking about the dramatic difference between the 24-240 and the new 24-70 GM while I was posting. -- perhaps an indication I really want a new 24-70.
I don't think of wide open aperture as the strong point of the lens but then again I have never really set out to explore its capabilities. I am not expecting great bokeh as wide open after 80mm is either f/5.6 or f/6.3, a long way from 2.8 on the new zooms. The results are useful to me as reference points since I often travel with just this lens and a Leica WATE.
Snow lake from last week Wednesday - we did a quick overnight backpack to the most heavily used trail and lake of Washington State. It looks like we were alone, but there were many other folks around.
