I was stupid enough to bring it on vacation this time, as the only camera, as it's my travel camera, after all. But what happens? This vacation spot is full of exotic birds of prey! Damn! And my A7R2 cannot focus, if my life depended on it! I've resorted to manually focusing my 100-400 II now, and I get maybe 1 in 20 focus hits. Focus peaking isn't really helping either - it is just not precise enough.
I so miss my 5DSR right now, in the middle of nowhere, in Spain, by the pool
These are all manually focused with the A7R2 and 100-400 II via the MB IV adapter with FW .48.

Joshua.... wow, absolutely stunning shots I never tire of these shots.
Very quiet weekend, with some wonderfully warm weather.
A7rII and M 50 Cron IV One of my favorite combo's
Thank you, Charles! You certainly know how to make that Cron 50 to sing. The cat image is gorgeous.
Yes, we saw not one but two jaguars! Too bad this female and her mate are in captivity at a ranch somewhere in CR. Like anywhere else. humans encroached on their habitat and when they started preying on human's livestock, all bets were off. My understanding is they were about to be killed when captured back then but this rancher took both on. The living space for both is not bad, they are fed regularly and they look healthy, but still they are in captivity regardless.
What a beautiful creature! Here is "my" cat saying hello to yours, Charles .
Smoke rapidly approaching from the Sand Fire in Santa Clarita, CA. My shooting match was canceled today due to the range proximity to the fire. (If anyone was wondering why I'm barfing up all these shots on a Saturday morning! )
