Shooting wide open with the FE 24-240. I originally posted this as 24-70. Sorry. I was thinking about the dramatic difference between the 24-240 and the new 24-70 GM while I was posting. -- perhaps an indication I really want a new 24-70.
I don\'t think of wide open aperture as the strong point of the lens but then again I have never really set out to explore its capabilities. I am not expecting great bokeh as wide open after 80mm is either f/5.6 or f/6.3, a long way from 2.8 on the new zooms. The results are useful to me as reference points since I often travel with just this lens and a Leica WATE.
