Currently I can't tell you much since I'm new in astro-photography also. I just started to shoot with father's home made telescope which also has earth tracker made by himself and I adapted it on A7 with NEX-T ring adapter.
Earth tracker isn't fully precise yet, but still good enough for 25s long shots. As I previously said the telescope is equivalent to F5 2000mm.
Great images, everyone. I am amazed how well "older" lenses perform on this camera. I have a few and really enjoy them. We are talking about a FF 36MP camera here and not a crop body. However, the 55mm f/1.8 FE truly is an amazing lens and very "Otus-like" . Small, light-weight and no need for any adapter .
Wow, you just can't miss a day on this thread . . . let alone a week! Been way too cold (still) to do a lot of shooting but here are a few more from a trip a couple of weeks ago from the north shore of Lake Superior.
Steam mill Cruquius build in 1849 is one of three mills whereby the Haarlemmerlake between 1849 en 1852 has been emptyed.
The steam mill Cruquius is itself a Netherlands 'Rijksmonument' for the steam history of the engine within, and it has also been declared an Anchor Point of ERIH, The European Route of Industrial Heritage. It is thought to be the largest steam engine – and certainly the largest beam engine – ever built. The engine was built by Harvey & Co, of Hayle, Cornwall. The diameter of the piston is 144 inches (3.7 m).)

Yes, its getting old. Couldn't even walk the dog today it was to cold and he doesn't like putting the boots on so I had to carry him home after half way around our usual walk. Let's hope it changes soon, eh!
