It appears to hold up pretty well. Any cropping done to the images, or are we seeing the full edges?

Pics 1, 2 and 4 have a little crop for level it.
Thanks

A7 - ZM 25/2.8 by edward karaa, on Flickr

Edward, how is the ZM 25 doing on the A7? I see some smearing in the corners of your photo but otherwise ir looks good.

Hi Joakim,

No color shift and vignetting, but the smearing is there at all distances. For landscapes, it should be ok at f/8-f/11. Corners can be improved by focusing closer within reason. I posted my remarks in the RF wide angle thread with a couple of photos to illustrate the problem.

My review sample/rental of the A7 will be coming a little earlier now...I'll have it Tuesday and will (for a short period of time, anyway) be able to contribute to the thread. I have the FE 35 coming as well, and an FD to NEX adapter should be here tomorrow, so all my FD glass will get a run on it, so hopefully that'll mostly be successful.

So, here it is. My first image with my new a7R and the 35/2.8FE. JPG, program mode, straight out of the box.

Time to play . . .

And what did you think of that first shutter sound?

You don't happen to have 100% crops of this lens at f1.5, f2.0, and f8.0? Center and corner?
Love to hear your opinion on the lens-camera combination!

My first couple of shots with the A7R, using the Novoflex adapter and Nikkor 50mm f1.8. Nothing special and JPEG sooc but I'm super impressed with the detail from this sensor. AWB leaves something to be desired though. Will see how AWB performs in other scenarios.

And edited a little....

Different, yes, loud and clunky and a bit retro compared to everything else I've been shooting. Just something to get used to but certainly not terrible.

CT8282 - detail looks good, B&W looks good - color version has greeny skin tones. Agree about WB being a bit wonky.

Yes, very retro. But I wouldn't say clunky. I find it kinda smooth and silky but very prolonged. I actually like it.

And I've slightly tweaked the WB in the original colour file too. It looked much much worse than that sooc.

My X-E1 was literally the king of skin tones. Fuji do it best, bar none. I miss that camera.
